Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed one of the following:
- Matriculation (Class 10) | দশম শ্ৰেণী উত্তীর্ণ
- Higher Secondary (Class 12) | দ্বাদশ শ্ৰেণী উত্তীর্ণ
- Graduation & above | স্নাতক আৰু তদূৰ্ধ্ব

Age Limit (As on 01.08.2025)

- Minimum | ন্যূনতম: 18 years
- Age Relaxation (As on 01.08.2025) : Eligible candidates can avail the following relaxations in the upper age limit:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years (after deducting military service from actual age as on 01.08.2025)
- Defence Personnel disabled during hostilities (General): 3 years
- Defence Personnel disabled during hostilities (SC/ST): 8 years
Note: Age will be calculated as on 01 August 2025.
Eligibility Criteria

- Nationality :
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 01st January 1962 with the intention
- of permanently settling in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
- Other Requirements | আন অৰ্হতা: Educational qualification, experience (যদি প্ৰযোজ্য হয়) আৰু বয়সৰ সীমা পূৰণ হ’ব লাগিব।
Application Fee for SSC Selection Posts
- UR/OBC: Rs. 100/-
- Women/ SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex Serviceman: Nil
- Payment Mode: Online Through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
Scheme of Examination
- Exam Pattern: There will be three separate Computer Based Examinations (CBE) comprising Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions for posts requiring minimum qualifications of:
- Matriculation Level
- Higher Secondary (10+2) Level
- Graduation & above
- Subject-wise Distribution:
- Part A: General Intelligence
- Number of Questions: 25
- Maximum Marks: 50
- Part B: General Awareness
- Number of Questions: 25
- Maximum Marks: 50
- Part C: Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)
- Number of Questions: 25
- Maximum Marks: 50
- Part D: English Language (Basic Knowledge)
- Number of Questions: 25
- Maximum Marks: 50
- Total Duration of Examination:
- 60 minutes
- 80 minutes for candidates eligible for scribes (as per specific guidelines)
- Part A: General Intelligence
- Negative Marking:
- 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Normalization of Scores:
- If the examination is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks will be normalized using the procedure outlined by the Commission in Notice No: HQ-PP001/6/2024-PP dated 02-06-2025. These normalized scores will be considered for:
- Final merit list
- Cut-off determination

- The exam will be conducted in Hindi and English.
- Skill Tests:

- These will be of qualifying nature, unless mentioned otherwise in the post-specific notice.
- Qualifying Standards: The Commission may prescribe minimum qualifying marks for each section, depending on:
- Number of candidates
- Category-wise vacancies
- Other relevant factors
