Educational Qualification

Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications from a recognised university:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Forestry, or Environmental Science as one of the subjects.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, or Civil Engineering.

Salary Details

• Pay Scale: ₹22,000/- to ₹97,000/-
• Grade Pay: ₹9,700/-
• Pay Band: PB-3 (as per Assam State Government norms)

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.
• Age Limit (as of 01-01-2025):
  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 38 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC/MOBC: 3 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: up to 50 years (UR), 53 years (OBC/MOBC), 55 years (SC/ST)
    • PwBD: 10 years
• Physical Fitness Requirements:
  • Male: Height – 155 cm, Chest – 84 cm (+5 cm expansion)
  • Female: Height – 145 cm, Chest – 79 cm (+5 cm expansion)
  • Physical Test:
    • Male: 25 km walk in 4 hours
    • Female: 16 km walk in 4 hours

Scheme of Examination

1. Paper-I (General Knowledge): 2 hours, 100 marks, OMR based, Graduate level
2. Paper-II (General English): 3 hours, 100 marks, Descriptive
3. Paper-III & IV (Optional Subjects – Any two): 2 hours each, 200 marks each, OMR based
4. Optional Subjects: (Any Two)
   a) Agriculture / Agriculture Engineering / Horticulture
   b) Botany
   c) Chemistry
   d) Physics
   e) Geology
   f) Forestry
   g) Environmental Science
   h) Civil Engineering

Note: Candidates cannot choose more than one subject from Group-(a).
