Age Limit
Candidates’ age should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as of 01.04.2024 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2003 and not earlier than 02.04.1994 (both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification for SBI PO Recruitment 2025
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the central government.
- Final Year Students: Those in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.04.2025.
- Others: Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant would also be eligible.

Selection Process of SBI PO Recruitment
Phase-I:
- The selection for Probationary Officers will be done through a three-phase process:
- Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:
- English Language

Phase II
Main Examination: The Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Tests for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer
Objective Test: The duration of the objective test is 3 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

Descriptive Test: The marks of Descriptive test is 50 and the duration is 30 minutes. The descriptive test will be start immediately after conclusion of the objective test. The test will be conducted on computer and it will be a Communication Skills: Emails, Reports, Situation Analysis & Precis Writing
Total phase II marks will be 250 marks. 200 marks in objective and 50 marks in Descriptive.
SECTIONAL CUT-OFF / MINIMUM QUALIFYING MARKS IN THE MAIN EXAMINATION:
- Each candidate will have to score a minimum score in each test (i.e. Test I, II, III, IV & Descriptive paper individually) in Main Examination.
- Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for Phase III.
PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS (APPLICABLE TO BOTH – PRELIMINARY & MAIN EXAMINATION OF SBI PO EXAMINATION 2025
- There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by candidate, there will be no penalty for that question
Phase III
- Phase III comprises of PSYCHOMETRIC TEST, GROUP EXERCISE, PERSONAL INTERVIEW
- PSYCHOMETRIC TEST: The Bank will conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase III. The findings of the test may be placed before the Interview panel to have a thorough perspective on the candidates.
- GROUP EXERCISE: The maximum mark of group exercise is 20.
- INTERVIEW: The maximum marks of an Interview is 30
FINAL SELECTION OF SBI PO 2025
- The candidates will have to qualify both in Phase II and Phase-III separately. The marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase II), both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Phase III for preparing the final merit list
- Note: The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added to preparing the final merit list for selection
The marks obtained by the candidates in Phase-II (Main Examination both Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase-III (Group Exercise & Interview) will be normalized to 100 marks as detailed below.
- For the main examination, the Maximum mark is 250 and the normalized mark is 75.
- For Group Exercise & Interview Maximum mark is 50 and the Normalized mark is 25.
- The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase-II and Phase III. Selection will be made from the top merit-ranked candidates in each category.
