RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 – 6238 Vacancies

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the official notification (CEN No. 02/2025) for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025. A total of 6238 vacancies are available for Technician Grade I Signal and various Technician Grade III positions. Vacancy Details

• Total Posts: 6238
• Post-wise Vacancies:
  • Technician Grade I Signal: 183 posts (Level 5)
  • Technician Grade III: 6055 posts (Level 2) across various trades like Track Machine, Blacksmith, Electrical (TRS/GS/TRD), Fitter, Diesel, Welder, Carpenter, Machinist, etc.
• Department: Indian Railways under various RRB zones
• Pay Level: Level-5 and Level-2 of 7th CPC

Educational Qualification

• Technician Grade I Signal (Level 5):
  Diploma in Engineering or relevant technical qualifications as prescribed (details in Annexure A of the official notification).
• Technician Grade III (Level 2):
  Matriculation / SSLC + ITI / Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades.

Note: Degree or Diploma in Engineering will not substitute ITI unless specifically stated. Candidates awaiting results are not eligible.

Salary Details

• Technician Grade I Signal: ₹29,200/- (Initial pay) – Level 5
• Technician Grade III: ₹19,900/- (Initial pay) – Level 2
• Other benefits as per Railway norms.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Must be Indian or as specified under Para 4.0 (Nepalese, Bhutanese, Tibetan refugees, etc.)
• Age (as on 01.07.2025):
  • Technician Grade I Signal: 18 – 33 years
  • Technician Grade III: 18 – 30 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 to 15 years
  • Ex-servicemen and others: As per government norms

Application Fee

• General/OBC: ₹500/- (₹400 refunded after CBT attendance)
• SC/ST/Female/PwBD/Ex-SM/EBC: ₹250/- (refunded after CBT attendance)

Medical Standards

• Posts require varying medical standards (A3, B1, B2, C1). Visual acuity and general fitness required.
• Candidates with LASIK or similar eye surgeries not eligible for A3 medical standards posts.
