Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Possession of domicile certificate of the state applied for.
- Knowledge of one of the local languages/dialects of the concerned SIB.
- Desirable: Field experience in Intelligence work.
Salary Details
- Pay Scale: Level-3 (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) in pay matrix + Central Govt. allowances.
- Special Allowances:
- Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay.
- Cash compensation in lieu of duty on holidays (max 30 days).
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18 – 27 years (as on 17.08.2025).
- Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Departmental candidates: up to 40 years
- Widows/Divorced Women: up to 35 years (UR), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)
- Ex-servicemen and Meritorious Sportspersons: as per Govt. rules
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen
- PwBD Candidates: Not eligible
Selection Process
The selection will be conducted in three stages:
- Tier-I (Objective Test):
- 100 Marks | 1 Hour | Online MCQ-based test
- Sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English Language, General Studies
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
- Cut-off: UR-30, OBC-28, SC/ST-25, EWS-30
- Tier-II (Descriptive Test):
- 50 Marks | 1 Hour | Qualifying in nature
- Translation of a 500-word passage from local language/dialect to English and vice versa
- Qualifying Marks: 20/50
- Tier-III (Interview/Personality Test):
- 50 Marks
- Final merit list will be prepared based on Tier-I and Tier-III performance
Final selection is subject to medical examination & character verification.
