Assam Directorate of Secondary Education has issued several job notifications for government jobs in Assam, specifically recruitment of 1487 postgraduate teacher posts and 8230 postgraduate teachers (Arts, Science, Hindi, and Sanskrit) vacancies this vacancy represents some of the most sought-after jobs in Assam for academic aspirants. The authorities will conduct the Assam TET cum Recruitment Test, 2025, on January 19, 2025. Consequently, they will release the admit cards for this exam on January 3, 2025.

As per the latest guidelines of the Government of Assam, all the applicants who have submitted online applications for this post should appear and qualify for the recruitment test and the Teacher Eligibility Test.

Important Note for Assam TET

  • The candidates will have to produce a hard copy of the Admit Card and a Photo Identity Card issued by the Government such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Driving License, or Voter-ID Card to appear in the Written Examination and must follow all the instructions mentioned in the Admit Card. PwBD candidates must also provide a certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
  • There shall be one common question paper for all vacancies irrespective of Subjects for Post Graduate Teacher recruitment.
  • The authorities will ensure that the number of candidates qualified in the TET cum Recruitment Test matches the 1:1 ratio of the advertised vacancies.

Merit list: If any post remains vacant after the publication of the first Merit List based on the 1:1 ratio, the authorities will publish up to two additional Merit Lists. There shall be a separate Merit List Subject-wise in the case of Post Graduate Teachers.

  • The authorities will prepare the Merit List as proposed below :
    • The system will filter the marks secured by candidates in the TET cum Recruitment Test for each subject into a separate merit list for that subject. It will follow the same process for all other subjects.

      • Pedagogy: 50 marks
      • About Assam and its People: 35 marks
      • General Mathematics (10th Standard): 15 marks
      • General English: 30 marks
      • General Studies and Current Affairs: 10 marks

Assam TET Result

This is to inform all candidates who appeared in the TET cum Recruitment Test 2024 on 19th January 2025 for Graduate Teacher (GT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts under the Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam, that they will launch an Online Objection Portal from 4th February 2025 at 11:30 AM to 20th February 2025. The portal link will be available on the official website of the Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam.

This portal will allow interested candidates to raise objections against the Answer Key of any question by paying a fee of ₹500 per question. Candidates must support each objection with a valid justification; the committee will reject objections without justification. If the expert committee finds the justification valid, they will refund the ₹500 fee to the original payment source.

A Committee of Academic Experts will evaluate all objections and make a final decision. They will not entertain any further correspondence regarding objections.
