
The AIIMS Nursing Officer Recruitment 2025 is now open through the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-9. - Post: Nursing Officer (Group B)
- Pay Level: Level 07 in the Pay Matrix (Pre-revised PB-2: ₹9300–34800 + GP ₹4600)
- Institutes: AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS across India
- Gender Reservation: 80% for females, 20% for males
- Number of Vacancies: Will be notified by individual AIIMS institutes
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have either of the following:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized institute/university
- Must be registered as Nurse & Midwife
OR
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery
- Registered as Nurse & Midwife
- Minimum 2 years experience in a 50+ bedded hospital after diploma
Salary Details
- Pay Scale: ₹9300–34800
- Grade Pay: ₹4600
- Level: 07 of Pay Matrix
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18–30 years (as on last date of application)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10–15 years depending on category
- Central Govt Employees, Ex-servicemen: As per rules
- Nationality: Indian citizens only
- Category Certificate: Must be valid and as per DoPT format
Exam Pattern: NORCET-9
The selection process will consist of two Computer-Based Tests (CBT):
Stage I: NORCET Preliminary
- Purpose: Qualifying in nature (not counted for merit)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- 80 questions from Nursing syllabus
- 20 questions from General Knowledge & Aptitude
- Marking Scheme:
- +1 for each correct answer
- −1/3 for each wrong answer
- Question Format:
- Divided into 5 sections (18 minutes per section)
- Once a section is over, candidates cannot revisit it
- Qualifying Percentile:
- UR/EWS: 50 percentile
- OBC: 45 percentile
- SC/ST: 40 percentile
- PwBD: Additional 5 percentile relaxation for all categories
Stage II: NORCET Mains
- Purpose: Decides merit and final selection
- Duration: 180 minutes
- Total Questions: 160 MCQs
- Entirely from Nursing syllabus (case-scenario based to test nursing skills)
- Marking Scheme:
- +1 for each correct answer
- −1/3 for each wrong answer
- Question Format:
- Divided into 4 sections of 45 minutes each
- Each section is timed and cannot be revisited once completed
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR/EWS: 50%
- OBC: 45%
- SC/ST: 40%
- PwBD: 5% relaxation across all categories
Application Fees
- General/OBC: ₹3000
- SC/ST/EWS: ₹2400
- PwBD: Exempted
Fees to be paid via debit/credit card or net banking. SC/ST candidates appearing in the exam will get a refund after document verification.
