Educational Qualification
For Medical Candidates (All Ranks):
- MBBS with post-graduate (MD/MS/DM/M.Ch) degrees in relevant specialties.
- Teaching/research experience after PG:
- Professor: 11–14 years
- Additional Professor: 7–10 years
- Associate Professor: 3–6 years
- Assistant Professor: 0–3 years
For Non-Medical Candidates (Select Posts):
- Master’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g., M.Sc. in Anatomy, Pharmacology, Microbiology).
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
- Required post-PhD teaching/research experience varies by post (3–14 years).
Salary Details
As per 7th CPC Pay Matrix:
- Professor: Level 14A – ₹1,68,900/- + NPA (if applicable)
- Additional Professor: Level 13A2+ – ₹1,48,200/- + NPA
- Associate Professor: Level 13A1+ – ₹1,38,300/- + NPA
- Assistant Professor: Level 12 – ₹1,01,500/- + NPA
(NPA applicable for medically qualified candidates only)
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian Citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act.
- Age Limit (as on 15 July 2025):
- Professor/Additional Professor: Max 58 years
- Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Max 50 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Govt. Servants: As per DoPT norms
