Educational Qualification

• Post-wise Qualifications:

  • Some departments (like BRO, MES) also require 2 years of relevant work experience post-qualification.
  • Degrees must be from recognised institutions; distance education not accepted unless from IGNOU till 2009–10 batch.

Salary Details
for SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment

• Pay Level: Level-6 of 7th CPC
• Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month
• Category: Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026):
  • Up to 30 years for most posts
  • Up to 32 years for CPWD & CWC
• Age Relaxation:
  • OBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • PwBD: 10–15 years based on category
  • Ex-Servicemen and others: as per rules
• Nationality:
  • Indian citizen or eligible nationality as per SSC rules
