The Directorate of Secondary Education has released the official notification for DSE Assam Special Educator Recruitment 2025. A total of 59 posts are available in provincialized secondary schools across Assam. Eligible candidates with the required qualifications can apply online and appear for the TET cum Recruitment Test. Vacancy Details

• Total Vacancies: 59 posts
• Post Name: Special Educator

Educational Qualification

• Graduate/ Post Graduate from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in either.
• Mandatory: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
• Valid degrees from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL (Gauhati University) and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University accepted.
• Degrees from off-campus and unrecognized distance institutions are not valid.

Salary Details

• Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000/- (PB-2)
• Grade Pay: ₹8,700/- per month
• Plus other allowances as per Assam Govt. rules.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025):
  • UR: 18 – 40 years
  • OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
  • SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
  • PwD: up to 50 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
• Must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
• Must follow Assam Govt. Small Family Norms (not more than two living children after 01.01.2021).
• Employment Exchange Registration is mandatory.
• Candidates in Govt. service must provide a No Objection Certificate.

Selection Process

• TET cum Recruitment Test (140 marks):
  • Pedagogy – 50 marks
  • Assam & Its People – 35 marks
  • General Mathematics (10th level) – 15 marks
  • General English – 30 marks
  • General Studies & Current Affairs – 10 marks
• Additional Marks:
  • NCC / Sports / Fine Arts / Cultural Activities – 5 marks
  • Earlier High School TET passed (not appointed) – 5% of TET marks (max 5 marks).
• Common Merit List prepared.
