The CGST Guwahati Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 notification has been released for the appointment of meritorious sportspersons in the posts of Tax Assistant and Havaldar. Candidates who have represented in recognized sports events between 2020–2025 are eligible to apply. Interested applicants are invited to submit their forms before the last date.

- Tax Assistant – 01 Post (UR)
- Havaldar – 10 Posts (UR-09, OBC-01)

Pay Scale
- Tax Assistant: Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)
- Havaldar: Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900)
Educational Qualification
- Tax Assistant
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
- Basic knowledge of computer applications
- Data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour
- Havaldar
- Matriculation or equivalent
- Must meet required physical standards and pass physical test
Physical Standards & Tests
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 157.5 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas & ST)
- Chest: 81 cm (fully expanded with 5 cm expansion)
- Test: Walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 152 cm (relaxable by 2.5 cm for Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas & ST)
- Weight: 48 kg (relaxable by 2 kg)
- Test: Walk 1 km in 20 minutes
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18 – 27 years as on 13.09.2025
- Relaxation: Up to 5 years for eligible categories as per DoP&T rules
- Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India
- Sports Eligibility: Participation/achievements in recognized tournaments/events during 2020–2025 in any of the 65 recognized sports disciplines
